Jigenji Temple will hold evening illuminations on the dates below. Please come and enjoy the fresh spring greenery at Jigenji.
Dates
May 3 (Sun, Constitution Day) — Tea gathering from 6:00 p.m.
May 4 (Mon, Greenery Day) — Goma Ritual for World Peace from 6:00 p.m.
May 5 (Tue, Children’s Day) — Tea gathering from 6:00 p.m.
The temple grounds will be illuminated from sunset until around 8:30 p.m.
About the May 4 Goma Ritual for World Peace
No reservations or numbered tickets are needed, and you are free to come and go. Please note that prayer sticks (gomagi) and special prayers from visitors will not be offered during this goma ritual.
About the May 3 and May 5 Tea Gatherings
Reception opens at 5:30 p.m. at the amulet counter. No reservations are needed. Participation fee: 1,000 yen, including green tea and Japanese sweets.
