Evening Illumination: Saturday, October 31 – Monday, November 2, 2026
Jigenji Temple will hold evening illuminations on the dates below. Please come and enjoy the autumn leaves at Jigenji.
Dates
October 31 (Sat) — Tea gathering from 6:00 p.m.
November 1 (Sun) — Goma Ritual for World Peace from 6:00 p.m.
November 2 (Mon) — Tea gathering from 6:00 p.m.
The temple grounds will be illuminated from sunset until around 8:30 p.m.
About the November 1 Goma Ritual for World Peace
No reservations or numbered tickets are needed, and you are free to come and go.
Please note that prayer sticks (gomagi) and special prayers from visitors will not be offered during this goma ritual.
About the October 31 and November 2 Tea Gatherings
Reception opens at 5:00 p.m. at the amulet counter. No reservations are needed.
Participation fee: 1,000 yen, including green tea and Japanese sweets.
