Letter April "Like a single flower blooming in the field"
江戸時代に出版された暦便覧によると、新暦の４月５日頃は「万物発して清浄明潔なれば、此芽は何の草と知れるなり」。
木々の若葉がいっせいに芽吹き、春の日ざしを浴びて花々がほころぶ、まさに、万物が清らかに明るく感じられる季節となりました。
慈眼寺の庭でも小さな命が輝いています。

自分自身がお天道様のように、ただそこにいて輝き続けることがとても大切です。
そうして自然と周りに良い影響を与えるような人でいるのがいいでしょう。
お釈迦様が説いた真理の教えというのは、まさに野に咲く一輪の花の如く、ただそこに咲いているという在り方をしなさいということでした。

The teaching of the truth that Buddha preached was exactly like a single flower blooming in the field, just like a flower blooming there.
