Letter January "Smiling"

― 今月の大阿闍梨のひと言 ―

塩沼亮潤 「春夏秋冬<自然>に生きる」より

The 15th is "Little New Year".

It is said that in the past, people celebrated the full moon day in early spring as the beginning of the year.

New Year's Day on January 1st and Small New Year's Day on January 15th.

Even though many years have passed, the age-old rituals for living happily in the new year are still being passed down to this day.

- Monthly Words -

Just as no one gets angry when they see a flower, no one gets angry when they see a smile, and a smile is a lubricant that connects people.

When I was training in the great outdoors and suddenly saw a single flower in the mountains, I couldn't help but feel at ease and smile.
