Letter November "Learn from Nature"
色とりどりの葉が鮮やかに街や山を彩るこの季節は桜咲く春同様、やはり特別な時間ですね。
私たちの目を楽しませ、葉を落とす木々。
それで役割を終えるわけではありません。
落ちた葉は分解され、めぐりめぐって新しい葉をつくる養分となります。
命のつながりはまさに神秘。
2023年の紅葉、秋保はこれからが見頃です。
― 今月の大阿闍梨のひと言 ―
山の中に入れば、お天道さ様がさんさんと輝いていて、虫たち、鳥たち、きれいな草花、木といったものが渾然一体となって生きています。
そうした大自然の中から自分自身を省みて、感謝しながら、少しずつこの世の真理をうなずきとっていく。
それが私に与えられた役目です。

This season, when the colorful leaves brightly decorate the cities and mountains, is a special time, just like spring when the cherry blossoms bloom.
Trees that delight our eyes and drop their leaves.
That doesn't mean the job ends.
Fallen leaves decompose and become nutrients that circulate to create new leaves.
The connection between lives is truly a mystery.
The best time to see autumn leaves in Akiu in 2023 is from now on.

Once inside the mountain, the sky is shining brightly, and insects, birds, beautiful flowers, and trees all live together in harmony.
As we reflect on ourselves and appreciate nature, we gradually begin to grasp the truth of this world.
That is the role given to me.
