Letter February "unskilled"
七十二候で鶯が鳴き始める季節となりました。
澄み渡る声で「ホーホケキョ」と鳴く鳥は春告鳥と呼ばれ愛されてきました。
そんな鶯も生まれた時から上手に鳴けるわけではありません。
親の鳴き声をお手本に、下手くそでも一生懸命に練習を重ね、鳴けるようになるのだそうです。
私たち人間と一緒ですね。

私はラジオ番組のパーソナリティを担当していますが、はっきり言ってしゃべりは下手くそです。
だからこそ、陰で一生懸命練習している。
そういう意味では、修行も一緒です。
しっかりと準備をして、努力を重ねていけば必ず自信が生まれます。

It's the season when warblers begin to chirp in Japanese microseasons.
The bird that sings "Hohokekyo" with a clear voice has been loved and called the bird that announces spring.
Such warblers do not sing well from the time they are born.
Using the cries of their parents as a model, even if they are unskilled, they practice hard and become able to sing.
It's the same with us humans.
