11月 「日本の秋を司る女神」

Letter November "The Goddess of autumn in Japan"

― 今月の大阿闍梨のひと言 ―

塩沼亮潤 「幸いをいただきまして このひとときを大切に」より

It was believed that there were goddesses in Japan who governed the four seasons.

The goddess of autumn is called "Tatsutahime", as opposed to the spring goddess "Sahohime" who blooms plums and cherry blossoms. It is said that Mt. Tatsuta (currently west of Sango Town, Ikoma District, Nara Prefecture) in the west of Heijokyo was deified, and the west direction is in autumn. Princess Tatsuda gracefully shakes her sleeves and dyes the mountains vividly.

The autumn leaves of Akiu are in full bloom right now. Maple leaves in Rairaikyo, Akiu Otaki, Hayama Bridge. And the leaves of the trees in the precincts of Jiyokuji are also beautifully colored. Please spend a beautiful prayer in the autumn of brocade.

[Monthly Word]

From spring to summer, and from autumn to winter, we find that nature has a rule that flows in one direction. And in the changing ties every day, I am grateful that I am joyful, sad, and worried, and that I am just present in this world.

There is humility, honesty, and passion in the beginning, but it gradually gets used to it. That is why you should be passionate and not forget the origin.
