9月 「ご縁」

Letter September "Connection(Go-En)"

いつのまにか空が高くなり、色合いもやさしい水色をおびてきました。

今年の夏と秋が交差する「行き合い（ゆきあい）の空」が広がっています。

それもまた、ご縁。ふたつの季節の出会いですね。

私はご縁を細く長く保ちたいと思っているのですが、それは知らない者同士が出会い、お茶を飲み、食事をし、語り合うことは、確率で言えば奇跡のようなものだからです。

すべての出来事に原因と結果があるように、出会いにも必ずストーリーと理由があると思います。ご縁をいただいたからには、よい関係を保つための距離感が大切です。

I wish to cherish bonds in a way that is slender yet enduring. That is because when complete strangers happen to meet, share tea, dine together, and talk, it is—statistically speaking—something close to a miracle.

Just as every event has both cause and effect, I believe that every encounter, too, has its own story and reason. Once a bond has been given, what matters is keeping the right distance to nurture a good relationship.
