「つらら」は、なめらかを表す擬態語の「つらつら」が変化したものとか。
もとは平面に張った氷を指す言葉だったそうです。
昔は、つららのことを「垂氷（たるひ）」といいました。
水の滴りが凍って成長した立派なつららが慈眼寺にお目見えする冬。
太陽や月の光に照らされ、きらきらと輝くさまは壮観です。

人生にもその時々の流れがあります。その人生の流れの本流にのって逆らわず、また物事の本質を見極め、欲を出さず、悪いことをせずに、どんなときでも感謝をして生きる。
そうすると、本流ではない流れに流されず、自然な流れのままに人生を歩むことができるようになる。
これを運が開くというのではないでしょうか。
