木々に目を向けると、芽吹きの時を迎えていますね。
芽吹きの瑞々しい緑色は「若芽色」と言います。他にも春の七草の明るい黄緑色は「若菜色」、植えたばかりの苗は「若苗色」と、これから成長していく草木の色名もさまざまです。
「みどりご」と言えば、生まれたばかりの赤ちゃんをさす言葉。赤ちゃんは新芽や若葉のように生命力に溢れていることから、そう呼ばれるようになったそうです。
芽吹きの時、若々しい緑から元気をいただきましょう。

何かに迷っていたある日、ふと気がつきました。

これは、山で修行しているときに浮かんできた言葉です。
それまでは「何をやってもだめだなあ」と思っていたんですが、いい意味での開き直りと言いますか、「一日一日の積み重ねが自分の人生を切りひらくんだ。自分の人生の主役は、ほかならぬ私自身だ。しっかりと地に足をつけて、歩んでいこう」と思えるようになってから、心がとても楽になりました。
