Letter August "Dahlia swaying in the sky"
仙台七夕まつりの季節がやってきました。
和紙と青竹で手作りされる伝統的な七夕飾りは、日本古来の星祭を優雅に華やかに彩ります。七夕飾りの中でもひときわ目を引くくす玉は、仙台商人が庭に咲くダリアの花にヒントを得て作られたそうです。
空を見上げれば、くす玉のダリア。
街中が咲き誇る花々でうめつくされるような美しいひとときをお楽しみください。

野に咲く一輪の花は、自分と同じように山のなかで雨や風にもまれながら、どんなに厳しい環境のなかでも人の心をなごませるきれいな花を咲かせていました。
それに対し自分は、周りの人にとってどんな存在であっただろうかと、あらためてかえりみました。
次々におとずれる試練に対し、ただそれに負けないようにという強さばかりで、大自然という、嘘いつわりのない、ありのままの真実の素晴らしさを感じとるというゆとりがなかったことに気がつきました。

The season of the Sendai Tanabata Festival has arrived. Traditional Tanabata decorations, handmade with Japanese paper and green bamboo, gracefully and gorgeously decorate the ancient Japanese Star Festival. Among the Tanabata decorations, the eye-catching Kusudama is said to have been inspired by the dahlia flowers blooming in the gardens of Sendai merchants. If you look up at the sky, you can see the dahlia of Kusudama. Please enjoy a beautiful moment when the city is covered with blooming flowers.

A single flower blooming in the field, like me, suffered from the rain and wind in the mountains, but even in the harshest of circumstances, it bloomed beautifully to soothe people's hearts. On the other hand, I once again reflected on what kind of existence I was to the people around me. I realized that I was just trying not to give in to the trials that came to me one after another, and that I didn't have the leeway to feel the true beauty of Mother Nature.
