Letter December "Connect hope to tomorrow".
いにしえの時代、「明日」という言葉は、「朝」を意味していました。毎朝、この世のすべてが、日の出とともに生まれ変わります。
秋保の山々から生まれたての太陽がのぼると、木々も花もまるで眠りから目覚めたかのようにいきいきと輝き始めます。
今年も残すところ、あとわずかとなりました。たとえ今日が皆さんにとって苦しくても、明けない夜はありません。そう信じて、明日へ希望をつなぎましょう。 ― 今月の大阿闍梨のひと言 ― この世に生まれて、気づいたときにはすでに人生というものがはじまっていました。
そして、やがて年老いてあの世に行く確率は百パーセントです。時期がくれば小学校から中学校に行き、そしてまた高校に行かなければならないように、その日、そのときがくれば、私たちは自然にあの世に行かなければなりません。やがてその日がきたときには、心おだやかに手を合わせ、胸をはっていられるように心の修養をするべきところ、それが人生という道場なのかもしれません。

Just as we have to go from elementary school to junior high school and then to high school when the time comes, we have to go to the other world naturally when the time comes. When that day comes, it may be the dojo of life, where you should calmly join hands and train your mind so that you can feel your heart.
