Letter December　 ~ 　Cleaning with heart　～

慈眼寺では、毎朝8時からみんなでお寺の掃除をしています。

掃除も、実は立派な作務の一つ。

ご参拝くださる皆さまの心が晴れやかになり、「あ〜、来てよかった」と笑顔になっていただけたら、幸せです。

At Jigenji Temple, we all clean the temple together every morning starting at 8 o'clock.

Cleaning is actually one of the most important forms of temple work.

We are truly happy when the hearts of our visitors brighten, and they smile, thinking, “Ah, I'm so glad I came.”

日々を丁寧に、心を込めて生きる。そんな意識を持っていると、掃除の技術も向上します。

たとえば、ほうきの掃き方、雑巾がけのコツ、食器洗いの手順、草むしりのタイミングなど、

同じ作業を精一杯しながら意識的に行動すると、様々な智慧を授かることができます。
